From 2016 to 2021, U-M made great strides in increasing the diversity of its students, staff and faculty. Although there is still work to be done, the following graphics highlight notable shifts from those five years:
Student Minoritized Representation

(5) Demographics for Hispanic or Latinx report a 57.7% increase in undergraduate students (7.3% of U-M population in 2021) and a 52.3% increase in graduate and professional students (6.6% of U-M population in 2021).
